DANIELLE
GORI-MONTANELLI
Having graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a degree in painting, Gori-Montanelli (a.k.a. Berlin) concentrated on traditional metalsmithing for the first part of her jewelry-making career, creating enchanting tableaux of people and places in silver and bronze.
After moving to Italy, and starting a family, she began working with felt, a material that always intrigued her, and one far more suited to her current lifestyle. She can cut, assemble and sew in trains, planes and playgrounds, expanding the possibilities of the colorful material both for jewelry and wall pieces that she is newly combining with paint.
